Water Canyon

A legitimate Zion experience without having to go into the park. This is a stunning hike an a narrow canyon between two towing sandstone cliffs leading to a seasonal waterfall. At parts reminiscent of the Subway and near the waterfall reminiscent of the Narrows. There is some soft sand in parts and it could be marked better, but it is relatively easy to follow. It connects to other, more challenging trails but is a great hike on its own. Maybe be difficult for small children but 6-7+ will be able to make it with the occasional hand up or down.

Toroweap Overlook
Off-Road

Toroweap Overlook

An incredible view 3000 feet down into the Grand Canyon, with ability to enjoy it in peace. About 60 miles almost due south of here but on rocky dirt roads almost the whole way. The last mile or so is only passable with a high clearance 4x4, though there is a small parking lot right before it gets gnarly. Would only recommend taking the drive for a 4x4 or UTV, but totally worth it for those. Would make a really fun UTV trip with a picnic meal at the overlook. There is a decent restroom on site. Be careful with children, as there are no barriers or guardrails.
